Continuation of works on HPP Ering G2

In November, the generator stator G2 (35 MVA; 10.5 kV; 68.2 rpm; 50 Hz) on HPP Ering underwent a successful final test in front of the client, after which the stator was lowered into the pit.

The power plant is located on the river Inn on the border of Germany and Austria.

The supply of new stator, rotor, and other auxiliary generator systems, as well as their disassembly, assembly, and commissioning, were all included in the project’s scope.

The special feature of this project is that the production of the new stator and rotor took place at the work site.

The welding of the rotor star, stacking of the chain pack, and assembly of the poles took place inside the power plant, while the packing of the stator core and the laying of the stator winding, due to its size, had to be done outside the power plant in a specially designed tent.

Completion of the assembly of the new generator and commissioning is expected in March 2023.
