Productive beginning of the year on Motors program

KONČAR – Generators and Motors Ltd (GIM), despite the challenging and volatile market situation, as well as additional risks caused by recent disruptions, has successfully continued activities on Motors program this year.

For British partner, the world’s leading compressor manufacturer, a total of 15 pcs of low voltage shaftless compressor motors ranging from 230 kW to 550 kW were delivered. Long-term cooperation, product quality, and reliability of KONČAR-GIM as an EU renowned motor manufacturer, turned to be like key competitive advantages in times of uncertainty and disruption in the supply chain.

During March, a new contract was concluded with Croatian customer for delivery of 4 pcs of ATEX motors type 9ATJ 407-02, 500 kW, 6600V, 2980 rpm for gas turbine propulsion. Completion of the contract is planned for the end of 2022.

Furthermore, in April, one ATEX high-voltage asynchronous squirrel cage motor type 9ATJ 407-04, 500 kW, 3000 V, 1492 rpm for high-pressure piston ammonia pump for chemical industry was delivered to a domestic customer. The motor was delivered as a replacement for the KONČAR’s existing motor manufactured more than 40 years ago. Due to the quality of the existing motor customer had no doubt with choosing the supplier of a new one.

Three new projects for delivery and installation of motors for oil industry on domestic market have been announced, which realization is expected during the next year.

All this is proof that customers rely on the quality of domestic manufacturer, often chosen ahead of cheaper competitors.
